The Coating House Combines Learning and Fun at Fastener Fair USA

The Coating House recently exhibited at Fastener Fair USA – for the first time ever! The annual event was held May 16-17 at Music City Center in Nashville, TN.

The Fastener Fair USA is North America’s fastest growing trade show and conference event for the fastener industry and the manufacturing sectors it serves. The Fair serves as an essential marketplace, and draws fastener professionals from around the globe.

The Coating House President Kim Casineau and General Manager Harley Kata spoke with approximately 200 booth visitors throughout the two-day event.

Many visitors were eager to test their golf putting skills on the small green at The Coating House booth, and three players won prizes that included golf balls, BrüMate insulated tumblers, and Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Select whiskey.

“Nashville is such a fun, vibrant city,” Casineau said, “and our visitors really seemed to enjoy themselves.”

But it wasn’t all fun and games. Booth visitors spent a significant amount of time learning about PAAC’D and the benefits of pre-applied fastener adhesive coating, too.

“Pre-applied fastener adhesive coating speeds assembly,” Kata said, “which doesn’t surprise anyone. But when people understand how the coating is consistently accurate from part to part, and allows for faster identification, you can see them mentally calculating the potential time and cost savings.”

Pre-applied adhesive coating is especially helpful when fasteners are being installed horizontally, Kata says, because applied during installation can lead to the product dripping, which can cause damage to the surrounding parts. “It’s just another example of how pre-applied adhesive coating is critical in the assembly process,” he said.

Fastener Fair USA 2024 will take place May 21 -22 in Cleveland, OH and the company plans to exhibit again.

“Events like these are great venues for meeting new people and letting them know how The Coating House can improve their products and processes,” Casineau said. “We’re already looking forward to next year.”
